From our humble roots, we have grown into the region’s leading commercial grounds maintenance company and provide a wide and varied range of Commercial Grounds Maintenance, Horticultural, and Landscaping Services to Public and Private Sector Clients including Local Authorities, Government Agencies, Hospitals, Schools, Colleges, Universities, Property Managing Agents, Housing Associations and numerous Commercial Businesses.
Main purpose of role:
To be responsible for the coordination, record keeping, and planning of vehicle servicing of assets owned CGM Group.
Principal accountabilities and responsibilities
- To organise maintenance, repair and service to a range of vehicles
- To ensure all vehicles are serviced, repaired and maintained and ensure accurate records are kept in line with following the company’s procedures.
- Ensuring all vehicles that are brought in are cleaned before return and the operatives are reminded about the importance of regular checks.
- Purchasing parts at the most competitive prices available and reviewing on a regular basis.
- Liaising with relevant Managers to organise repairs and servicing for vehicles in remote depts.
- Checking against trackers and reporting systems to ensure prestart checks are being completed.
Duties will include:
- Organising servicing of all vehicles at the appropriate times with external companies and internal mechanics
- Keeping an accurate log of all repairs and the purchasing system, following all set procedures and systems of the Company.
- Building a strong relationship with the company staff
- Working with the AOM in order to make sure parking and high standards of cleanliness and organisation around the depot are adhered to
- Procurement of parts
- Writing and implementing replacement policies for vehicles and monitoring against the policy.
- Checking against trackers and reporting systems to ensure prestart checks are being completed.
- Updating internal systems and organising fleet mobilisation and de mobilisation with items such as trackers, signwriting etc.
- Providing admin support to the Health & Safety Consultant
This list is not exhaustive and role holders will be expected to carry out any other tasks required by the Management team to ensure the efficient and smooth operation of the Company
