Role - Transport Planner position

Location - Close to Downham Market, Norfolk

Working hours - Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm - 1 hour for lunch

Salary - £35,000 per annum

Capacity of role - Permanent position

Our client is a family run organisation who is looking for a transport planner to make a difference within their team.

We are looking for someone to have a natural flair in communicating and to bring fresh and new ideas to the business.

This role could offer an immediate start for the right applicant

Main duties will include
- Will involve coordinating and planning efficient routes for a small fleet and confident in directing drivers in daily tasks and providing clear instructions for unloading and loading.

You will be responsible for collection and processing of paperwork and ensuring that all current legislation and drivers’ regulations are adhered to

You will be the first point of contact for all drivers by telephone communication to assist drivers with any queries including breakdowns and servicing requirements.

Experience with implementation of planning systems and pricing is desirable as well as seeking new contracts and building relationships with existing customers.

You may already hold a CPC Transport Manager qualification or be looking to develop your career further in gaining this, and this is something the Company would look to support with.

ü Ideally will have worked within a similar position for a minimum of 3 years

ü To be an organised, articulate individual who has the ability to communicate at all levels.

ü Full driving licence will be required due to the location of the business.
