Assistant Transport Planner

Market Drayton, United Kingdom Edwards Transport (Shropshire) Ltd Full time

Working 4on/4off shifts 7am - 7pm in busy traffic office with a team of experienced staff you will be the main contact for drivers. You will be responsible for the drivers work instructions, reloads and ensuring all collections are made. You will provide administration support to the transport team in data entry so attention to detail and accuracy is essential for this role. You will also learn other roles in the transport office so you can provide holiday cover when required.

The position will require the ability to think clearly and act quickly whilst working to tight deadlines and using resources efficiently. You will be joining a long-established family company with a prestigious customer portfolio. Experience in a transport office would be an advantage but not essential as training can be given. You must have excellent IT skills, geographical knowledge and be able to multitask in a busy fast paced environment whilst working as part of the team and on your own initiative. You must be reliable and punctual as well as flexible to cover extra shifts if required. (Please note once you are trained you will be working alone on a weekend.)
