Rollesby Ward is a female only Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit which is an integral part of our Acute Services. We have a reduced number of patients which allows us to deliver a patient focused, activity based care to people who identify as female during an acutely disturbed phase of a serious mental illness.
This is sometimes a challenging environment but you will be part of a collaborative MDT which is driven to provide compassionate and effective care with not only the person but those who are important to them.
If you have excellent communication skills and the desire to engage people in activities then we want you to think about coming to be a part of our team. We have a skilled, diverse and welcoming team of staff on the ward, and work with more such people across the Acute Wards.
Come and join us as we strive for excellence
As part of our ongoing strive for excellence we are developing a 'care team' approach to patient centred care. We’re looking for a hands on, flexible nurse who is skilled at developing therapeutic relationships.
It can be a challenging environment at times, so we need clinicians with a positive attitude, compassion, resilience, and a hands-on approach. It is vital that the clinician is reflective around issues of power and difference, see the importance of working across systems, and can do that effectively.
If you have the drive to provide excellent care, can demonstrate high quality clinical skills and are willing to go the extra mile to help make a difference to people’s lives then we would love to hear from you.
The role is shift working, we do Long day and night shifts and will be expected to be on a rota to accommodate a ward that is open 24/7 and there will a mixture of days and nights.
On Rollesby Ward we pride ourselves on being a welcoming, talented, friendly and supportive team who like nothing better than sharing experiences and learning from each other. In addition to ongoing training and development opportunities, we are committed to providing an environment in which you can thrive.
Why work for us? We have challenges as a Trust, but we have ambitious aspirations, are pushing ahead with exciting transformation work and we need dedicated individuals to support us on our journey. We have strong, established professional networks coupled with an exceptional leadership team who will ensure you are truly cared for and cared about.
Why Norfolk and Suffolk? The people here are warm and welcoming, you’ll never be far from the beautiful coastline or Broads National Park. We’re an hour and a half away from London and have an international airport in Norwich too. Our villages, towns and cities are packed full of history, independent cafes, shops and theatres. We have excellent shopping, eating out, top ranking schooling and affordable house prices too.
