We are seeking a motivated, client-focused **Client Accounts Assistant** to join a well-established accountancy and business advisory firm based in **Shepperton, Surrey**. This is a fully office-based role, ideal for someone looking to develop their accounting career while working closely with a diverse client base.

**Position Details**:

- **Hours**: Full-Time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM
- **Location**: Shepperton, Surrey, with occasional travel to the West Horsley branch
- **Salary**: £30,000 - £34,000 (dependent on experience)

**Important Note on Location & Transport**

While Shepperton is not in a rural area, public transport options are limited. Having a **valid driving licence and access to a car would be highly beneficial** for a more straightforward commute. This is a fully office-based role with occasional travel to the West Horsley branch.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist in managing a portfolio of client accounts, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
- Support the preparation of management accounts, VAT returns, and other compliance tasks
- Maintain accurate financial records, performing reconciliations and data entry as needed
- Communicate with clients to gather required financial information, respond to queries, and build strong working relationships
- Contribute to ongoing improvements in processes and embrace new technologies that enhance client service and efficiency
- **Qualifications**: Currently studying towards or holding Level 3 or Level 4 AAT or ACCA qualifications, or equivalent
- **Experience**: Some prior experience in an accountancy practice or client-facing accounting role is beneficial but not essential
- **Tech Proficiency**: Familiarity with accounting software (Xero, Sage) and strong MS Excel skills
- **Communication & Organisation**: Excellent communication and organisational abilities, with careful attention to detail
- **Client-Focused**: A proactive, service-oriented mindset dedicated to delivering exceptional client experiences
- **Driving Licence**: A valid driving licence and access to a car is highly beneficial due to limited public transport options
