**Job description**:
Operating in support of the Army’s digital transformation and at the heart of its clear understanding of the importance and centrality of data and information, the I2 Information Interoperability Tech Support role sits within the I2 Policy and Standards Team and provides a technical development function to the I2 Information Exchange Team based in Blandford Forum. Working internally within D Info and externally with other stakeholders across Defence and internationally, te post is responsible for technical support and to a variety of Multinational and NATO programmes, representing Headquarters Army and the UK. In this role you will be working as part of multi-disciplinary technical team, sometimes with a management or project lead function. There will be extensive opportunities for Professional Development, learning new technical skills through specialised training and experience, working in a variety of technical programmes and roles. This an exciting technical role with regular opportunities for travel both UK and overseas travel will be required at key Working Groups and programs in support of UK, NATO and Coalition Interoperability.

Your main responsibilities will include:

- Within the Multilateral Interoperability Programme (MIP) represent the UK Army in the development of the MIP Gateway Specification by supporting quarterly MIP Integrated Project Team 4 (IPT4) meetings
- Within the Multilateral Interoperability Programme (MIP) manage a prototype development team as part of the same meetings
- As technical Subject Matter expert, prioritise and manage Requests for Information (RFIs) or assistance as they come into the I2 Blandford Cell
- As part of the Formatted Messaging Team support the development of Information Exchange requirements, delivering technical solution to the British Army, Industry partners and Coalition Forces. Significant training will be required to undertake this task
