**Head of HR - Skipton - £50,000**
H9 Human Resources are proud to be partnering an exciting Retail SME business to recruit for a Head of HR. This is a new position due to growth and needs, with the company rolling out exciting plans for the future. The Head of HR will be the lead positionin the HR specialism. The position is paying around the £50,000 mark (DOE) and would require some flexibility around travel to other sites in the future.
**Roles & Responsibilities for Head of HR**:
- Plan and coordinate functions and activities related to all HR operations (Recruitment, Compensation & Benefits, HR Business Partnership, HR Information System, Policy, Training and Talent management and development)
- Review, monitor and manage HR budgets and HR-related programs and projects in consultation with CEO, allocating and reallocating HR expense budget and resources to and from these projects.
- Develops HR strategic plans/solutions in support of business needs. Identify optimal short term, medium-term and long-term employee incentive scheme that meet the needs of the business.
- Advise, counsel and provide support in policy/procedural matters including creative solutions to workforce problems and issues. Support managers to effectively resolve problems.
- Develop, modify and communicate HR policies and procedures in alignment with the business values, appropriate laws and regulations, and recommend courses of action.
- Manage a communication strategy that ensure effective, timely and clear messaging of HR business practices.
- Research emerging HR trends and best practices in Fosun ecology, recommend strategies to meet the challenges in optimizing the staff philosophy of the business.

**Requirements**:
- Strong communication skills, able to support and build trust at all levels within the business, whilst influencing the Board and investor-owners on key issues.
- Experience within and SME environment, private sector ideal.
- Minimum 10+ years experience across the full spectrum of HR disciplines and having held senior positions previously.
- Demonstrable change management skills are critical, whilst project implementation experience is advantageous. Pragmatism, commerciality and empathy will be important to success in this broad role.
