**Rethink Mental Illness are hiring BANK Mental Health Recovery Workers to join our inspiring and friendly teams at our Sheffield Outreach and Sheffield Crisis House Services.**

**Sheffield Outreach Service**: is a service working in partnership with the local authority’s Mental Health Independence Framework. We currently support over 65 individuals living in their homes in the community to work towards recovery, by engaging them in 1:1 support with a mental health recovery worker. Support is tailored to the individual and working towards meeting goals on their individual support plan, which outlined which areas of social care needs they require support with. The service generally operates Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm however flexibility in this role will be required to meet the needs of the service users. Having a vehicle is preferred.

**Sheffield Crisis House Short-Term Stay**:Our crisis house provides a short-term support service for adults (18+) experiencing acute mental health crises. Sheffield Crisis House plays a vital role in supporting individuals during acute mental health crises by providing a safe and supportive environment. This is a 24/7 service.

**Overview of a Mental Health Recovery Worker role**:
As a Mental Health Recovery/Support Worker, you will offer people affected by mental illness the support and help they need to regain their confidence and get involved in everyday social and workplace activities. You will be working closely with service users to achieve their own personal goals and access all the support they need on their recovery journey.

**Essential skills and experience required**:

- Listening and Empathy: You are a good listener, empathetic, understanding, kind, patient, and willing to learn.
