**Purchasing Assistant**
We are looking for a confident, attention detailed, and accurate person to our purchasing team and work alongside our purchasing manager in assisting in the day-to-day work of our purchasing department.
This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate or school leaver to join a fast growing and expanding company that has won multiple awards over the past few years.
Your job will be to work closely alongside our purchasing manager and order the stock we need to produce and deliver our orders. You will gain the knowledge and understanding of just how important the purchasing department is for a business to function and build relationships with our key suppliers.
The key responsibilities for a Purchasing Assistant include, but are not limited to:
- Raise and monitor accurate purchase orders, whilst adhering to company procedures
- Monitoring future jobs to ensure all stock have arrived correctly in time for production to commence
- Maintain and monitor back order report
- Liaise with suppliers for sales team queries
- Oversee stock hold though the system to ensure core items are replenished, with reporting to manager.
- Answering general enquires from other departments within the business.
- Build relationships internally as well as with suppliers

- Excellent coordination and organisation skills with the ability to work under own initiative, and ability to work to deadlines
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong and compelling relationships
- An innovative and creative approach to problem solving
**Salary**: £20,000.00-£23,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Dunstable, LU5 5GN: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
**Education**:
- A-Level or equivalent (preferred)
