Looked After Children Administrator

**Job overview**:
The post holder will work as part of the integrated administration team to provide and maintain a high level of administrative support to both internal and external services involved in delivery of care to Looked After Children. Due to the nature of the service the post holder will be party to information that may be distressing and occasionally explicit. Support and supervision is provided to all members of the safeguarding service for this reason.
**Main duties of the job**:
To arrange and co-ordinate initial and review health assessments for children who are Looked After. To ensure that timescales are met in line with national guidance. To be able to process completed health assessment paperwork within strict timescales and deadlines.
Be a first point of contact for the Looked After Children office ensuring professional standards and an appropriate style of communication is deployed
Provide a full range of Administration duties to the team.
Maintenance of databases and electronic systems to record activity and compliance for the team.
Dissemination of Looked After Children information to internal/external professionals, as directed by senior nurses, ensuring safe methods of communication are used at all times.
Triage of calls to the team from professionals recording and escalating these calls as appropriate to the Looked After Children Team.
Typing of reports, minutes, agendas, general correspondence, presentational material, etc.
Other administrative tasks as appropriate.
Produce reports and circulate to the wider team.
Maintenance of filing systems.
Photocopying and collation of documents.
Assistance with formatting rotas for the team
Any other duties within the general scope and context of this post.
Provide occasional cover such as answering phones and re-directing enquiries for the Safeguarding Team Administrator (mainly during annual leave and sick leave)

**Planning and Organisational Skills.**
- To convene and attend Safeguarding & Looked After Children team meetings as required, producing agendas and accurate minutes, booking of venues and making all necessary arrangements, including the collation of papers and agenda items.

- Actively contribute to and support agreed developments and directorate/trust objectives
**Physical Skills**
- Demonstrates competency in standard computer skills including use of keyboard, access to and use of word documents, basic management of excel.
