We are seeking to appoint a self-motivated individual to support our HR Business Partners and the wider People and Development team in the provision of a high-quality service to all managers and staff across the College group.
Based at our Ashington Campus this role will involve dealing with employee relations issues, recruitment and selection, well-being, and staff engagement.
You must have excellent communication skills, both oral and written and be an experienced Microsoft Office user (Word/Excel). Accuracy and attention to detail and an excellent customer service ethos are essential. Experience of using an integrated HR/payroll system would be an advantage.
You will be able to demonstrate your knowledge of current and forthcoming UK employment law and be able to proactively seek ways to continuously improve the HR service. There will be some travel involved with the role.

Due to the nature of this post you will be required to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure Check.
Role responsibilities
- To provide a professional, quality and timely operational solution focussed People and Development Service to the College on a full range of People matters, ensuring legislation; policy and best practice are followed.
- To supervise and monitor the activities of designated staff to ensure high quality services are provided to internal and external customers within the agreed service levels of the department.
- Ensure that a professional and value-added service is always provided.
The person & qualifications
- Level 5 qualification in HRM **OR **equivalent
- CIPD Qualification at associate level
- Level 2 Math's and English or equivalent
- Relevant degree is desirable however not essential
