Help us make a difference as a Key Account Representative based from our offices in Wednesbury to provide desk-based management of key strategic accounts. Ensure that clients are contacted regularly and kept up to date with pending services. Produce MI reports that are relevant to accounts managed along with the production of PowerPoint slides so information can be shared professional and easily understood. Growth plans for each account should be produced in line with the department’s key objectives and key performance indicators as well as supporting Biffa Senior Managers to retain and renew contracts and prospects.

The role of Key Account Representative is fast paced role which demands a high level of knowledge and experience and the ability to work across the entire breadth of the business and with a wide range of stakeholders. Working within this department is key to ensuring that growth and change plans are managed effectively whilst strategically focusing on enabling the department to embrace and deliver objectives set.
This role requires an individual with a passion for customer service, with the skills to looks for ways to make the customer experience more proactive and streamlined, whilst also looking at upselling opportunities across the customer’s estate where we can add value to what they do.
A lot of time will be spent on the phone talking to clients about their hazardous waste accounts and providing them with the best value option or often keeping them informed of upcoming services. Time will also be spent producing reports and information that can be shared and understood on the status of an account. You will actively support and work in partnership with the Regional Operational Teams, ensure a consistent service is offered to all internal and external customers, ensuring Biffa is best in class.
This role is a very hands-on role involving the use of many personal skills such as relationship management, people and resource management and requires the ability to build key internal relationships at all levels up to Senior Management within Biffa. It is also vital to develop key relationships with external customers.
The job requires the ability to multitask situations that are live - requiring immediate attention and the ability to deliver a first class Customer Service.

- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a customer environment.
- Strong Leadership and people skills with a good coaching ability
- High level of complaint handling and call control skills
- Ability to communicate in writing, on a one-to-one basis, via the phone with all levels including management, team members, internal and external customers
- Ability to plan, organise and prioritise
- Ability to keep strict deadlines
- Ability to motivate the team to be high performing Ability to present to internal/external customers including Biffa Senior Managers.
- Willingness to adapt and develop skill sets and knowledge as determined by post / business
- Occasional overnight stay away from home as and when required.
