An exciting opportunity is available for a driven and resilient individual to join the professional services department of the Peninsula Dental School, one of England's top Dental Schools, and proactively facilitate the development of outstanding Dentists/Dental Hygienists of the future.
You will contribute to the delivery of a customer focused, efficient and effective administrative support service for the Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes within the school. Each team member seeks to enhance the student and stakeholder experience throughout their time with the University of Plymouth.
Programme administration duties will support programmes, with particular reference to supporting academic staff with curriculum delivery, assessments, and supporting students on the programme. This will include maintaining student records and assessment data; helping resolve assessment issues; attending, organising and minuting meetings; updating programme documents and providing programme data as required.
This is an opportunity to engage with students and support them whilst at the University, playing a key role in facilitating their journey; effectively communicating with students, academics, clinicians and colleagues. The role will provide support to the Senior Programme Administrator in addition to line managing Admin Assistants and provide support across the team.
You will have experience operating effectively as a member of an administrative team within a customer service environment. A flexible and resilient attitude in an ever-changing and challenging environment will be vital.
You will need organisation skills, excellent IT skills (including spreadsheets and databases), the ability to be pragmatic and proactively solution-focused to seek resolutions to problems and have the ability to work within tight deadlines. Good communication skills, minute taking, teamwork and data reporting are also essential.
Experience working in a medical or education function/environment (or equivalent) would be desirable.
The role will be based at the student-facing Faculty Office in the Portland Square building of the main University Campus, although occasionally travel to other sites (primarily Derriford) will be required. The office is shared between staff supporting Schools across the Faculty.
Please demonstrate how you meet the essential criteria outlined in the knowledge, qualifications, training and experience elements of the job description in your supporting statement.
This is a full-time position working 37 hours per week on a fixed-term basis to cover a period of absence for 12 months or until the post holder returns.
Interviews are likely to take place week commencing 22nd May and you will be notified if you have been shortlisted or not.
We offer a competitive salary package and a generous pension and holiday scheme. We also offer a range of other benefits, including ongoing development opportunities.
Flexible working options including job share will be considered.
