Brook Street are proud to advertise a temporary position for a HEO / Project Support - within Ministry of Defence

The purpose of the role is to expedite and cohere Defence Safety Authority (DSA) team daily activity

The DSA is responsible for the regulation of Defence Health, Safety and Environmental Protection, operating under a Charter from the Secretary of State for Defence (SofS). The DSA provides independent assurance direct to the SofS that the law is compliedwith and his policy on safety in Defence is being promoted and implemented whilst Defence activities are conducted.

The Defence Maritime Regulator (DMR) is the maritime component of the DSA, providing maritime safety and environmental protection regulation; advice and guidance; and assurance and enforcement across the Defence maritime domain.

**Responsibilities**:
- Support on the management, content and processes associated with the DMR Regulations Sets.
- Support the Development, amendment and retiring of Regulations
- Support the provision of DMR Regulation communications across the DMR Regulated Community, including support to DMR stakeholder forums.
- Provide general support to R&C.
- Work with all R&C staff to consistently deliver R&C output and deliver the DMR Vision.
- As directed by DMR R&C Principal or Regulations Lead, support tasks to deliver DMR and wider DSA objectives, and responses to DSA HQ requests.
- Co-ordinate the regulation source record database, updating with the latest version of each entry.
**Typical qualifications and experience**:

- Five GCSE passes at Grade C or above Two A level passes at grade E or above or equivalent NVQ Management Level 3 or 4 (or suitable management experience)
- Administrative experience with a good knowledge and experience in using Microsoft Office (Office 365) in a working environment
- Previous project, maritime experience would be an advantage and knowledge of Legislation and Regulation preferred
- Attention to details and analytically thinking is required
- Good grasp of English in written and oral form and also be good with data / record management.

- **Working hours are of flexible hybrid working. 1-2 day a week in office. The rest remotely at home.**:
