Internal Communications Lead

London, United Kingdom UPP Ltd Full time

We have a great opportunity for an Internal Communications Lead here at UPP to support our corporate side of the business. Reporting into and working closely with the Head of Internal Communications, this highly visible role will be key in executing our internal communications strategy and plans - covering a range of internal content, channels and events, focused on our corporate audience (colleagues in our Head Office locations).

As part of a small internal communications team within a fast paced and agile environment, you will partner with key stakeholders to create multi-channel communication plans to drive engagement and involvement from our corporate colleagues. With support from the Head of Internal Comms and the wider team you will be responsible for execution of key events, channels and content for our corporate audience. You will also work together with the Internal Communications Manager for Residential Services to help co-ordinate campaigns and communications across the whole UPP business.

This is a hybrid role based in our award-winning offices near London Bridge, Cannon Street and Monument stations, with occasional travel to work with our on-site teams.

Role Responsibilities will include:

- Build and maintain excellent relationships with key internal stakeholders and use these to forward-plan effective, strategic communications and engagement activity
- Champion our Corporate audiences; understanding what makes them tick and how best to engage them. Use what you know about these audiences to recommend approaches that will work for them
- Regularly seek feedback on how effective our communications are and use that to suggest and test improvements
- Create and deliver high quality, engaging content across a variety of digital, printed and video channels with a focus on our corporate audiences
- Co-ordinate monthly VC Calls, including content creation, stakeholder sign-off and management of the call itself
- Manage our Campus intranet, keeping the content fresh, engaging, and relevant to all audiences. Work with key contributors to coach on the standard of content and ensure continuous improvement
- Act as the team co-ordinator for the annual internal communications plan, keeping it updated and maintained, highlighting opportunities or potential risks to deliver
- Work with external agencies and other internal colleagues as needed to ensure smooth delivery of content and campaigns, always driving best value for UPP

We are looking for a passionate internal communications professional with experience of implementing communications plans and campaigns across a variety of channels, interacting with senior leaders of an organisation and working on events.

This is a small team so you will be hands on, able to leverage your expertise and creativity in order to support us in taking UPP’s approach to enhancing our people communications strategy to the next level and having a real impact across everything you do.

You will also have first class writing skills with the ability to quickly draft engaging content across different audience sets, plus you’ll be organised, with an exceptional attention to detail and able to prioritise when faced with competing deadlines.

Overall, we are looking for you to have the passion to work as part of the team to get things done and drive delivery.

What we offer:
In return, we are offering up to £40k with a great benefits package, which includes a discretionary performance bonus, private healthcare, pension, enhanced family leave policy, life assurance, training, two paid volunteering or personal development days, cycle to work scheme and 29 days’ holiday plus bank holidays: as well as discounts from a variety of top retailers, restaurants, gyms and more.

Our people are at the heart of how we operate.

We understand all disabilities, impairments and conditions are unique, so please advise us of any adjustments that would support you through our recruitment process and also help you to thrive at work.
