Together we're building a greener tomorrow
Connecting every home and business to a single, secure smart meter network is a huge undertaking. So you can imagine the scale - and variety - and opportunities for the people who'll help us do it.
The role
London or Manchester
(Hybrid working model, 2 days a week office based, 3 days remote)
Competitive day rate
**About Us**:
At the heart of the smart metering infrastructure, the Data Services Provider (DSP) is key in connecting energy suppliers to consumers’ devices. The DSP Programme is responsible for transitioning from a single service contract model to one involving multiple contracts with four suppliers, ensuring continuity of service throughout the process.
**The Role**:
We are seeking an experienced Project Internal Communications Lead to help shape, construct, and deliver clear, impactful communications for both internal and external stakeholders across our DSP Programme. In this role, you will be pivotal in driving alignment and engagement across teams, ensuring that all parties are kept informed and motivated as the project progresses.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Collaborate with the central PMO team to communicate key operational activities and milestones within the programme.
- Translate project plans into engaging communication campaigns that create a sense of unity across DCC, suppliers, and stakeholders in different countries and time zones.
- Develop a shared space for the programme team to exchange updates and social news, fostering team cohesion.
- Maintain a comprehensive comms and engagement plan with regular activities to inspire and inform stakeholders, including:
- Regular programme updates, newsletters, and materials for all-hands meetings (scripts, presentations, toolkits, talking points)
- Stakeholder plans for the programme of work
- Work closely with the Senior Comms Manager to develop internal communications for key milestones and activities across DCC
- Monitor, analyse, and report on the effectiveness of communication initiatives, using data and feedback to continuously improve strategies and content
**What We Are Looking For**:
- Expert Change Communications Professional: With a proven ability to drive successful communication strategies within complex projects.
- Project Management Skills: Strong organizational capabilities to manage scope, schedule, budget, and resources.
- Strategic Thinker & Problem Solver: You’ll have a history of developing and executing successful communications strategies and initiatives.
- Excellent Interpersonal & Influencing Skills: You’ll build relationships across all levels of the organization to drive alignment and engagement.
- Exceptional Writing & Editing Skills: You can craft clear, concise, and compelling messages for a variety of audiences.
- Self-Starter: Confident, professional, and able to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
**Benefits**:
- Competitive day rate, based on experience
- Flexible hybrid working model
- A dynamic and supportive working environment
- Opportunity to shape high-impact communications across a major programme
- If you are passionate about project communications, have a proven track record in delivering successful change comms strategies, and want to be part of an innovative programme, we'd love to hear from you
