Our client provide fast, effective, and reliable Sameday Courier services to a range of businesses and industries throughout he North West and further afield.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a COURIER RESOURCE MANAGER / DRIVER MANAGER to work at our clients busy WARRINGTON depot. The main purpose of the job is to source and identify quality SELF EMPLOYED COURIERS to join this exciting forward thinking SAMEDAYCOURIER business.

**Responsibilities**:
Heading up self employed courier recruitment in its entirety
Continually develop all of the Self Employed Drivers on all relevant safe practises with written instructions where deemed appropriate.
Carry out sight inductions on all new driving staff and assessments when required for existing driving staff.
Driver / Courier retention and development
Monitor Driver Performance/Behaviour using up to date information and technology. Holding one to one meetings with drivers to discuss driver behaviour improvements.
Holding minor driver incident investigations and implementing corrective action where deemed appropriate/necessary.
Assess all driving staff within each 12 month period to ensure safety and efficient practises are used.
Ensure you follow correct HR procedures by documenting all discussions, corrective actions and instructions. All relevant documents are to be placed on individuals file.
Skills Required:
Previous experience in building a comprehensive book of self employed couriers / drivers
Be able to build & maintain a good working relationship with all driving staff (including ad-hoc & regular staff)
Ensure that drivers are legally compliant
Be able to help maintain company Health & Safety policy
Be able to promote the companies image and abide by the companies ethos with regards to its customers
Be commercially aware of the profitability of the business and ensure your duties are for the best interest of our client
Maintain regular consistent and professional attendance, punctuality, personal appearance, and adherence to relevant health & safety procedures.
What the role offers:
The role covers an attractive salary typically between £25k - £35k dependant upon experience.

Typical hours are Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm with the option of working HYBRID part office and part from home.
