An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within the Specialist Cancer Centre at Mid & South Essex Hospital Group.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic and highly motivated individual to assist in maintaining a high standard of care in a busy operational service environment. Working in collaboration with both administrative and clinical staff, the post holder will work towards achieving an accurate and detailed knowledge of the department. Duties include liaising with consultants, and Clerical Teams to ensure patients on the 62- and 31-days pathway are booked against performance standards.

Work within a specific clinical area to facilitate the smooth running of the patient journey by ensuring that co-ordinated and streamlined administrative processes revolve around the patient and their individual needs.

Provide administrative support to clinical staff within the clinical area including Consultants, Nurse Specialists and Junior Doctors to support effective tracking of patients pathway. Urology Cancer Support Administrator is to Support the Cancer Pathway Co-Ordinator in the booking of outpatients appointments including JOC and Flexi’s for Surgery for the Urology Cancer Service.

Support the clinical team and operational managers in ensuring the speciality are able to deliver safe and effective services whilst also ensuring compliance with contractual targets e.g. 62 day cancer and RTT

Provide cross-cover within the service to ensure a consistent and effective administration service is maintained at all times.
