Transport Administrator

**Role Overview**
Due to additional business wins and increased volume on current Customer’s we require **2 x **Transport Administrators **at our Middlewich Shared User site supporting our General Haulage network.
Salary £22000/annum
25 Days Holiday plus Bank Holidays (in Lieu if rostered to work)
Shift patterns are Monday to Friday 06:00-14:00 and 14:00-22:00 rotating on a week-to-week basis.
**How will you contribute?**:
- Support Transport Supervisor in ensuring all H&S requirements are adhered to.
- Briefing and Debriefing Drivers and issuing of daily work packs
- Communicating load discrepancies for multiple customers to the relevant Customer Service Teams
- Daily reporting of operational status to Transport Supervisor
- Proactive communication of delivery issues to our customers
- Provision of ETA’s and resolution of live delivery issues
- Manage fleet defects to resolution and report accordingly
- Utilise TMS and aligned software to best manage fleet resource
- Close working relationship with the Warehouse team to ensure despatch on time
- Contacting Sub-contractors to confirm ‘On Time‘ status.
- Communicating and collaborating with Network sites to find alternate solutions
- Understanding driver’s hours legislation to support compliance and driver wellbeing
**What will you bring?**:
- Have the ability to work to strict deadlines and targets.
- Have the ability to demonstrate good interpersonal and people management skills.
- IT skills - MS Office minimum requirement, Training given on TMS and supporting systems
- Customer Service skills
- Good commercial awareness and a commitment to providing customers with the highest standards of service.
- A proven track record in a logistics/admin/fast paced service driven background.
- Experience of working and communicating with large teams of people
- A good standard of education and a strong work ethic coupled with the ability to operate effectively within a team environment.
