**Operations Manager**

Are you a Production Manager looking for that next step or an Operations Manager looking for a new challenge within manufacturing?

We have a fantastic opportunity for an **Operations Manager** to join a well-established manufacturing and distribution business based in **Stoke on Trent**.

This is a unique and varied role that will allow you to develop your skills and experience in this days-based role. You will be reporting into the Operations Director and will work together to ensure that all functions are running as efficiently as possible.

This business offers benefits including 25 days holiday + bank holidays and a rewarding annual bonus.

**Main responsibilities of the role will include**:

- Control of the companies order book ensuring both short and long lead time orders are produced and despatched both timely and accurately.
- Manage senior warehouse staff to plan and allocate resources appropriately across multiple shifts.
- Promote good stock management and housekeeping standards.
- Manage Despatch and Administration team, to ensure product quality and appropriate documentation.
- Identify opportunities to continually improve working practices to ensure safety, accuracy and efficiency.
- Manage stock levels of consumables.
- Implementation of cost down initiatives.
- Maintain good communication between all of the companies sites.
- Organising and or delivery of appropriate training for the Operations team.
- Communicate between Suppliers and Senior Management.

**Experience Required**
- It is essential you are a highly organised individual with previous exposure to a variable, fast paced environment.
- Ideally you will have a firm grounding within a manufacturing organisation and have 5+ years in Operations Management.
