British Transport Police (BTP) are recruiting for a Property Standards Co-Ordinator on a permanent, full time contract. The role is paying £29,076.18 per annum, plus £3,033.56 London allowance per annum and will be based at FHQ, London.

BTP is the national police Force for the rail network throughout Great Britain, including London Underground, across which we ensure the safety and security of nearly 3 billion passenger journeys and over 100 million tons of freight every year. The world in which we work is fast-paced, operationally and commercially demanding, and constantly changing.

As a Property Standards Co-Ordinator you will be required to:

- Monitor and oversee the administration of storage systems and performance relating to the efficient handling of property and evidence ensuring that divisional property SPOCs maintain efficient property handling systems and providing officers with management information of the property they are responsible for on a regular basis.
- Undertake audits to identify and capture quantitative and qualitative data for all aspects of property storage processes within allocated area of responsibility, to assist in driving improvement of related services.
- Ensure the Force maintains an efficient property handling system by regularly liaising with property SPOCs and officers across Divisions in regard to property storage, returns and disposals ensuring that these are being dealt with promptly and efficiently and to required standards.
- Liaise with officers, SSU and Justice to ensure that eventual disposal of exhibits is completed to the relevant statutory timescales and standards.

- Educated to GCSE standard
- Undertaking qualitative and quantitative audits.
- Records management.
- Ability to produce comprehensive reports/presentations to support audit findings.
- Full working knowledge of property and evidence standards, legislation and processes, including an understanding of the differences between requirements/processes within England, Scotland & Wales.
- Salary of £29,076.18 per annum, plus £3,033.56 London allowance per annum
