The Role:
Are you passionate about driving strategic change and improving performance across a dynamic organisation? Liverpool City Council is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Improvement and Performance Officer to support the Finance and Resources Directorate in delivering its ambitious goals.
This is a pivotal role where you’ll work closely with senior leaders to shape business planning, monitor performance, and lead on strategic initiatives that enhance service delivery and value for money.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic business management and corporate support to the Directorate Leadership Team
- Lead on business planning, performance monitoring, and corporate reporting
- Coordinate directorate-wide improvement projects and ensure alignment with the Council Plan
- Monitor budgets, savings targets, and financial performance
- Represent the Directorate on corporate groups and contribute to policy development
- Facilitate effective communication across the Directorate and with key stakeholders
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation
