**Business Tutor**

Job type - Full time, Permanent

Salary - £24,648 - £26,437 per annum - (+2% area weighting)

Hours - 40 hours per week - (+ 5 hours paid lunch)

Location - Peterborough

**Who are we looking for?**

Our Education Centre in Peterborough is looking to appoint a Business Tutor to deliver Business skills to our Study programme students. We take an individualized approach to helping young people overcome challenges and realize their potential. Our small classes and flexible learning models meet students where they are.

This position can be a rewarding career path for you wherein, you can utilise your practical skills alongside becoming an aspiring educator. As an educator with us, you'll form meaningful bonds guiding students toward accomplishing their goals.

Our collaborative team supports learners holistically while you focus on instruction. With less emphasis on rigid scheduling and marking, you can find a healthy work-life balance. In addition, We provide ongoing professional development so you can continue honing your skills.

**What will I be doing as a Business Tutor?**

The main purpose of the role is to ensure that our learners achieve the appropriate Business knowledge and experience, alongside developing their employability, personal and social skills.

**Duties include (but are not limited to)**:

- Develop appropriate learning resources, facilities, and environment to support high quality teaching and learning, preparing learners for the world of work/further study.
- Evaluate and assess the work of learners in relation to the curriculum criteria and provide timely constructive and helpful learner feedback so that learners develop the skills, knowledge, and behaviours to progress to their next steps.
- Identify and support work placements for learners in industry specialism using guidance, and ensure learning is recorded and reflected in work-placement journals and ILPs (individual learning plan).

**Requirements for this role**:

- L2 English & Maths is essential.
- A Teaching qualification, CET/PTTLS OR DET equivalent or above is preferred. However, support will be given to those willing to work towards a teaching qualification.
- An Enhanced with Barred Lists DBS check is essential.
