Office based Employability and Skills Tutor.
Location - Peterborough
Basic salary up to £26000 depending on experience.
An exciting opportunity has arisen within a successful Ofsted Grade 2 national training provider based in Spalding who are looking for experienced Employability Tutors to join their team.
They are a socially conscious organisation that have an environmental group in place as well as mental health 1st aiders. They take pride in the care and support that they offer to clients and employees.
The role will involve supporting delegates and it would suit someone that has a passion for coaching and helping people who want to gain employment or build their skills for the future.
Purpose of the role of Employability and Skills Tutor.
- To support unemployed clients who are seeking employment and those that are looking to progress in their current role.
- Delivering basic employability training.
- Work on provision funded by the ESFA, DWP, combined authorities and other funding bodies.
- Build and deliver a programme of learning with various teaching and learning strategies.
- Maintain attendance registers and keep updated as required.
- Support the development of Functional Skills.
Skills and experience and qualifications required for the position of Employability and Skills Tutor.
- Experience of working in an Employability and Skills Tutor role
- Experience delivering Functional Skills in Maths, English and ICT.
- Experience of working with jobseekers.
- Knowledge and Experience of using online platforms (Teams, Zoom, etc).
- A flexible working style that may involve some travel.
- Relevant teaching qualification - Cert Ed, PTTLS, etc.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in further education or welfare to work sector.
- Experience in one or more of the following - Health and Social Care, Warehousing and Distribution, Business Start-Up, Customer Service, Business Administration, Team Leading and Management, Money Management and Mental Wellbeing.
The position of Employability and Skills Tutor is an office-based role but may also require some travel.
