First invented and launched in France, the D-Vine is already used by 20% of Paris’ 4 and 5-star hotels. Developed over tenyears by a team of engineers, technology entrepreneurs and wine experts, the D-Vine appliance and wine range are already present in 9 international markets. The company now seeks to develop the UK market and is looking for a full-time Sales and Business Development Manager to open the UK market for the D-Vine Pro appliance and wines. **About the D-Vine Pro**: The D-Vine Pro allows any venue to serve the world’s greatest wines by the glass, quickly, perfectly, and with context. Our promise to restaurants and hotels is to increase sales of wine by the glass by 20 to 30%.Created by engineers and wine lovers, D-Vine Pro is the result of ten years of research and development in partnership with The Ecole Centrale de Nantes, ABMI Engineering,and electronic design studio Naonext, as well as with leading wine makers and bottling specialists. The D-Vine Pro appliance comes with a wide and growing portfolio of compatible 100ml "flacons" of fine wine from leading producers. These flacons are unique among single-serve wine options for their long shelf-life, beautiful packaging, and preservationof quality. The D-Vine system uses RFID (radio frequency identification) technology. When the flacon is inserted into the D-Vine appliance, the machine serves the wine from flacon to glass with perfect aeration and serving temperature, in less than 40 seconds.It also displays digital content on each wine. In comparison with other by-the-glass options, D-Vine eliminates inconsistency of usage, and provides access to single-serve fine wines with up to 3 years of shelf life. For establishments with a sommelier team, D-Vine Pro liberates sommeliers to focus on by the bottle sales, and on customer service. For venues who do not have a specialist sommelier, D-Vine Pro expands the range and quality of by-the-glass offering, withthe confidence that every glass is served perfectly. **The role**: - Develop a sales and brand building strategy for the UK, in collaboration with the D-Vine leadership team - Prospect and convert new accounts and grow existing accounts for the D-Vine appliance and wine range - Reporting to the Sales Director, you will work to agreed sales targets and brand development goals - Report monthly on progress and feedback with market insights - Contribute to the marketing and content strategy of the D-Vine brand - Master the presentation and product knowledge of the D-Vine appliance, wines, and benefits - Negotiate agreements and develop relationships with distributors - Draw up and approach a target client list of premium hospitality venues - Maintain a high standard of presentation, and brand, product & industry knowledge - Follow up on prospective leads generated, and organise and deliver training sessions and tastings for clients - Work with D-Vine management, marketing and technical teams **The person**: - You will be an experienced sales professional, preferably with experience in short term sales process as well as hospitality, or wine - You will have experience in sales and a network of hospitality contacts - You should relish the challenge of bringing this innovative system to market, and be comfortable hosting demonstrations and events - Organised and self-motivated, you will have good presentational and interpersonal skills and enjoy collaborating with our supportive marketing and technical teams - You have the initiative to create cost-effective and impactful promotions that build the profile and sales of the D-Vine system and wine - You will have good sales skills with experience of working to sales targets and demonstrate an understanding of the sales cycle and metrics - A team player who can work collaboratively and communicate in a positive way - You may be a wine sales professional interested in wine as experience and tech innovation - You could be an experienced sales professional from a different field with a desire to move into wine - The ability to speak French is desirable, but not essential A company laptop and mobile phone will be provided. This is a full-time role, salaried from our UK subsidiary, D-Vine UK Ltd. This is a remote working position based from home. You should be based in England and expect to focus on key accounts in Londonand surrounding areas. You will be required to travel on occasion to company headquarters in France.
