We are currently looking for a handy person to join our team to assist in maintaining a safe, welcoming, and homely environment for our residents.
- Have experience and general understanding of handyperson duties such as electrical, plumbing, painting, decorating and general building and gardening works
- Good communication skills and able to work with all levels of management and team members.
- Full UK Driving license would be an advantage.
- Able to maintain workload and work to required timescales

**Duties / responsibilities**:

- Weekly audits including but not limited to the following: fire alarms, water temperatures, inspecting premises and carrying out health and safety checks
- Low level maintenance work to ensure that the setting is safe and well maintained
- Keep good records of all of the tasks you perform
- Relatively recent experience being a care taker/handy person or proven DIY skills
- Experience in some of the following - decorating, minor plumbing, handy person duties - as well as minor joinery ,electrical PAT testing of items etc
- Availability for occasional call outs/ shared an call rota
- Basic awareness of health and safety in the work place

**Job Type / Category**

We are looking for someone to work 22.5 hrs per wk - flexible days and hours of work, take part in the on call rota.

**Required Education, Skills and Qualifications**

DIY skills with painting, electrical, plumbing and cleaning and gardening

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: £13.91 per hour

**Experience**:

- Facilities Maintenance Occupations: 1 year (preferred)
- Maintenance: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)
