Information Security Manager

Global client has a great opportunity for an Information Security Manager ideally with 7 years experience in IT / Information Security and with a strong technical background and proven leadership skills to be responsible for delivering security as a serviceto the organisation, translating the IT-risk requirements and constraints of the business into technical control requirements and specifications, as well as developing metrics for ongoing performance measurement and reporting and coordinating technical activitiesto implement and manage security infrastructure.
As an Information Security Manager your primary duty is to develop security programmes and security projects that address identified risks and business security requirements, working with business and IT stakeholders to balance risks with business driverssuch as speed, agility, flexibility and performance, you will therefore understand Risk management and business system analysis. You will be required to create, coordinate and validate information security operations documentation, raising information securityawareness, develop training plans, coordinate the monitoring of security reports and logs for unusual events, the findings from which need to be monitored and an action plan must be prepared to follow up on the findings. You will collaborate and manage ITprojects ensuring that security issues are addressed throughout the project life cycle and provide expert guidance on security matters for other projects recommending info security related hardware and software, including developing business cases for securityinvestments.
You will have the ability to demonstrate your knowledge and appreciation of the current IT threats and security measures available, this will require a combination of strong business awareness and good technical IT knowledge or experience. You will haveexperience in developing, documenting, and maintaining security policies, processes, procedures and standards, knowledge of network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and the associated network protocols and concepts, in-depth knowledgeand understanding of information risk concepts and principles, experience in developing and documenting security architecture and plans, including strategic, tactical and project plans, Info security management frameworks, such as ISO 2700x, ITIL, COBIT andNIST frameworks and ideally some technical certification such as CESG Certified Professional (CCP), CompTIA Security+ Certification, ISC2 Systems, CISSP, CISM or Cisco Cyber Security Specialist
You will have strong people management as you will be required to manage a small team, hire and train new staff, conduct performance reviews, and provide leadership and coaching, including technical and personal development programs for team members.
