**JOB DESCRIPTION**
As an Associate within the Securities Services Financial Resource Management (FRM) group you will have immediate front office focus on Liquidity, Cash, Agency Lending, Custody and Fund Accounting businesses.

Your role will be to work within the FRM team & relevant Product and Solutions heads to optimize their financial resource footprint (including, but not limited to, assessing capital, balance-sheet and funding/liquidity needs). Recognize regulatory trends, internal constraints, and pricing strategy to highlight challenges/opportunities for the business.

**Job summary**

You will interface with Product and Solutions across Securities Services, as well as a broad range of CIB and Corporate support functions, as we develop strategies for optimal resource deployment and enhancing profitability for the LOBs under our remit.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a complex, challenging, and changing environment at one of the world’s leading custodians. In today’s environment where regulation continues to play a significant role in shaping business, the group has a critical mandate to understand, quantify and manage risks associated with the increasingly complex regulatory landscape (Basel III, G-SIB, etc.) and create structured solutions to enhance liquidity and capital efficiency.

**Responsibilities**:

- Play an instrumental role in establishing integrated liquidity and capital strategy across Securities Services Business to mitigate capital burden and enhance P&L returns
- Partner with Quantitative Research, CIB Treasury, Regulatory Capital Management Office, Finance to optimise Securities Services use of financial resources and create new solutions and revenue opportunities for the business
- Understand the key regulatory requirements and upcoming changes such as Basel 3 Endgame and GSIB.
- Develop a thought-leadership mindset to shape FRM strategies and externalise FRM expertise and regulatory / industry insights via whitepaper
- Provide FRM advisory on liquidity and capital rule impact to internal and external clients of Securities Services
