Group Mental Health Act Administration Lead

As a Mental Health Act Administration Lead, you will report to the Director of Policy and Regulation and will assist sites to meet statutory and legal expectations to ensure the safety, wellbeing and human rights of our service users. A range of training opportunities are available that can see your career grow and you achieve your career aspirations. **Your responsibilities will include**:_- To identify breaches in legislation and non-compliance with the MHA Code of Practice, policies and procedures - To develop ways to ensure consistent appropriate practices, through standard operating procedures - Ensuring standard record keeping is in place across all services for the administration of relevant Acts impacting on service user’s liberty and freedoms - To support the Mental Health Act Administrators to improve practice at their site - Assisting with the development of policies and procedures appertaining to issues within the scope of the role - To assist sites to meet the statutory and legal expectations including working with Associate Hospital Managers - To support the PCA process with regard to MHA/MCA/DoLS and LPS - Carrying out Mental Health Act audits and relevant legislation to improve practice **To be successful in this role, you will need**: - Experience and proven track record of being a Mental Health Act Administrator - Excellent working knowledge of the relevant legislation for this role - Clear understanding of the challenges of the MHA Administrator’s role - Excellent Microsoft Office skills with a focus on Excel and the ability to manipulate data for reporting requirments - Strong verbal and written communication skills - Knowledge of legislation related to health and safety, nursing, occupational therapy, social workers and other professions - Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for the purpose of fulfilling this role - Ability to work away from home to support sites **What you will get**: - Annual salary of £40,000 (DOE) + Benefits - £5,000 Car Allowance - The equivalent of 33 days annual leave - plus your birthday off - Free meals and parking - Wellbeing support and activities - Career development and training - Pension contribution - Life Assurance Enhanced Maternity Package
