We are pleased to offer an opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Midwife to join our team on Delivery Suite as a Shift Coordinator, based at Wrexham Maelor Hospital. This autonomous practitioner will take responsibility for the coordination of care within the Labour Ward. You will be responsible for the assessment, planning and implementation of care to both high and low risk women in both the antenatal and intrapartum and occasionally the postnatal period. You will provide clinical leadership at ward level, thus ensuring that the highest standards of clinical care are continuously achieved and monitored. You will participate in the management of Labour Ward including the supervision/mentorship of learners, supporting and leading a team of staff in the delivery of evidence based client centered care. You will be responsible for ensuring that all care is delivered according to Health Board policies and procedures maintaining associated records. Utilising clinical audit, research, supervision, practice and teaching you will monitor and improve standards of care by efficient and effective use of resources.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
