Are you passionate about ensuring a safe and healthy working environment? We are seeking a proactive and organised **Technical Support Officer** to join our team, playing a vital role in supporting the effective delivery of the Council’s health and safety programme.

In this role, you will coordinate health and safety training programs, maintain safety documents and compliance records, and develop safety performance reports for directorates and senior management.

You will also contribute to the continuous improvement of systems and processes, ensuring best practices in the council’s safety management arrangements.

You will be responsible for maintaining records for audits, inspections, and accident investigations, ensuring documentation remains aligned with policies and regulations.

Additionally, you will collate, process, and analyse safety performance data, to develop reports that support performance monitoring and compliance with legal and regulatory obligations.

Your ability to organise, communicate effectively, and support the development of digital platforms will help enhance the accessibility and effectiveness of health and safety resources.

We are looking for applicants who can demonstrate relevant experience in a health and safety environment, ideally with a background in the public/private sector, and who have a sound knowledge of health and safety procedures, practices and relevant legislation.

You must be able to utilise advanced features of Microsoft Excel and Power-BI, demonstrate effective communication, presentation, and written skills, including ability to prepare and present briefings and reports.
