Office & Accounts Administrator

Our client is a local membership organisation who are leaders within their field. Due to team expansion and growing business, they have created a brand-new role and as a result, are looking for an experienced Office & Accounts Administrator to join theirsmall, family-feel team on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for an administrative professional who has some experience with basic accounting responsibilities.
- **Please note that this role is open to both full-time and part-time applicants. (If part-time then salary would be pro-rata to reflect this and a Monday would be an essential working day to align with the company's Accountant's working days.)**:
- **This is an office based role working Monday-Thursday 9am-5pm and Friday 9am-2pm.**:
- **A driving license and access your own vehicle is essential for this role due to the location.**
**Main responsibilities**:
- Complete accounting functions in Sage50 such as prepping for invoicing and completing invoicing, purchase invoices, credit notes, business expenses, petty cash reconciliation etc.
- Assist with Events Training administration as and when required.
- Actively attend events and exhibitions as and when these arise.
- Effectively liaise and build relationships with key stakeholders including members, customers and suppliers.
- Accurately maintain and update the company databases.
- Answer telephone and respond to web enquiries.
- General ad hoc admin duties as and when required including electronic filing and photocopying.
**Key Skills & Experience**:
- Experience using SAGE50 or similar e.g Xero.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Previous experience working within an administrative/office environment.
- IT literate including all Microsoft Office packages.
- Previous experience with accounting and/or bookkeeping is highly advantageous.
