The Emerging Talent Team, sits under our Head of Talent Acquisition & Emerging Talent.
Your key responsibilities- Main point of contact for new intakes of Emerging Talent (graduates, placement students & apprentices) during pre-boarding & on-boarding- Coordinating all behind the scenes actions for Emerging Talent on boarding process, as well having ownership for facilitating sessions within on-boarding weeks.- Owning placement brand ambassador programme & in turn also supporting with career fair bookings and attendance.- Owning relationship with our Emerging Talent in Ireland. Current population 4. (2 x placement & 2 x graduates.)- Organise Emerging Talent merchandise in line with brand and budget.- Draft job postings for university careers sites.- Emerging Talent selection - support with the selection process, review video interviews, organise & facilitate assessment centres, makes offers & provide feedback and draft contracts.- Manage the co-ordination of all Emerging Talent development sessions, including sending out invites, tracking attendance and collating & analysing feedback.- Plan & coordinate all Emerging Talent events & dinners, which may be held at KX or elsewhere. Be willing to present at these events, not just operate behind the scenes.- Conduct end of placement reviews independently alongside placement students & relevant managers.- Proactively promote Samsung UK ET programmes both internally on OneSamung.Live and externally on LinkedIn.- Support with reporting on Emerging Talent data and ad-hoc data requests.- Ad hoc coordination duties.
What we need for this role
To be successful, you will possess the following skills and attributes:
Strong written communication skills with an ability to tailor according to different audiences and levels of seniority
Strong attention to detail
Good time management & project management skills - ability to keep on top of multiple intakes of Emerging Talent at any one time.
Ability to work at a fast pace, with high volumes.
Confident in presenting - the Emerging Talent Coordinator will be required to present both virtually and in person throughout the Emerging Talent cycle to a variety of stakeholders.
MS Office skills - especially PowerPoint and a high level of competence using Excel
Experience of working within HR and/or knowledge of early careers would be desirable but not essential.
Strong analytical skills and confident working with data would be desirable but not essential.
What does success look like?
Success will be someone who fully understands the Emerging Talent cycle for graduates, placements & apprentices, not just completing actions given to them.
This will be measured by feedback received from the Emerging Talent themselves, managers & the wider People Team.
Taking on feedback and developing within role.
Proposing ideas & new solutions once settled into the role.
Proactively anticipating the next part of the cycle & being prepared for what comes next.
