We have an exciting opportunity in the Workforce Systems Team for a full-time HR Systems Senior Support Officer whose main function will be to provide operational administrative and technical support utilising specialist HR Systems knowledge to support the HR Systems Lead in the day to day operation and maintenance of the Trust’s HR Systems (e.g. NHS Electronic Staff Records System (ESR), Allocate HealthRoster etc) and in particular the Data Quality and ESR Improvement Projects.

To provide administrative and technical support to the HR Systems Lead for the day to day operation and maintenance of the Trust’s HR Systems (e.g. ESR, HealthRoster etc) and in particular the Data Quality and ESR Improvement Projects.

To assist the HR Systems Manager/Leads in the development, preparation and implementation of the overall project workplans, working autonomously on various key workstreams within named projects.

To assist the HR Systems Manager in providing governance around the quality and content of the data held within the HR Systems, providing advice and guidance on work structures and policies.

To provide accurate documentation, reports and audits where necessary.

The post holder will have specialist advanced knowledge of HR Systems which will allow them to work autonomously in order to resolve day to day system issues and provide advice and guidance to end users.

The post holder will use their specialist advanced knowledge of the HR Systems to provide training to colleagues and end users to ensure data quality standards are adhered to which in turn will support good governance of the HR Systems going forward.

Have an active role all Project Meetings and be responsible for the recording and circulation of the meeting minutes.

Work with the HR Systems Leads to assist in project planning and ensure the project workplans are kept up to date as the projects develop.

Ensure all project information (workplans, key messages etc) is kept up to date and relevant so that key stakeholders can keep abreast of progress at any given time.

Possess the skill to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing, complex system information with colleagues and staff within and outside the Trust.

Provide training and assistance to team members and the wider Workforce Team on complex data and systems issues which may arise from the HR Systems.

To be fully appraised of local requirements and national developments and to know how they will bring improvements and best practice to the Trust.

Change management - have the ability to persuade users who are reluctant to change on new ways to interact with the HR Systems as procedures and systems evolve.

Must be able to demonstrate the English language proficiency level required for this post.

To maintain systems/processes as required ensuring that the HR Systems data is appropriate and in line with national guidance and organisational obligations.

Provide advice and support to colleagues and staff regarding HR System issues helping to resolve both straight forward and complex queries.

Monitor, interpret and communicate complex national guidance, considering options for implementation and deciding upon the most appropriate course of action.

Ability to investigate and deal with information and data quality queries using analytical and judgment skills to identify and resolve a range of problems.

Ability to access activity reports, tables and charts for robustness, consistency and accuracy.

Assist the HR Systems Manager/HR Systems Leads in the development, preparation and implementation of the overall project workplans, working autonomously on various key workstreams within named projects.

Ensure all project information such as workplans, key messages etc are kept up to date and relevant so that key stakeholders can keep abreast of progress at any given time.

To work closely with Managers to plan the delivery of project requirements, monitoring the overall status of the projects to ensure set objectives are achieved on time.

Ability to organise, prioritise and manage own workload to tight deadlines, adjusting as necessary for changing priorities, variable workload and constant interruptions.
