**offices**, you will lead the local finance team providing support to two of Gates UK plants (Dumfries & St Neots).
- This position is vital to Gates as this role is part of the plant leadership team, and therefore is required to influence the local management teams to take decisions and actions that generate the best possible financial outcomes.
- Oversee day to day finance requirements across both plants while supporting a culture of continuous improvement regarding the department's processes
- You will be assuring that all accounting procedures are in accordance with Gates policies and procedures and with all local government laws and regulations

**Key responsibilities (to name a few)**:

- Business partner with the local teams to drive the operational financial performance of two key plants
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve the operation's financial outcomes (profitability and cash generation). Understanding gross profit, cost drivers and working capital to aid decision-makers to deliver improved results.
- Be the main point of contact for the local teams to resolve any finance related issue
- Work with the business and facilitate business input into the monthly financial forecasting process and annual budget process in line with regional finance instructions
- Understanding the risks and opportunities in the plants, mitigating impact on the business where required
- Leading monthly financial closing in line with group's reporting instructions and overseeing the preparation, analysis and reconciliation of all financial reports required by the business, including leading the monthly financial review of plant operations.
- Oversee trend and variance analysis and explain potential impacts to the business

**ABOUT YOU**
- Fully qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA)
- At least 5 years prior experience in management accounting and/or finance business partnering in a manufacturing environment (international would be advantageous)
- Fluency in English is a must
