**Job Brief**

**Responsibilities include**:
All UK mainland route planning and scheduling.

Ensuring efficiency and cost-effective planning at all times.

Driver utilisation (scheduling of routes to ensure maximum utilisation of their time, fuel usage and skill set)

Daily management of orders going out via third party methods (parcels and pallets).

Processing order when deliveries are completed and items despatched.

Assist drivers with any issues in locating drop off points etc with help of vehicle tracking when required.

Manage any overnight overtime requirements with drivers.

Ensure orders are placed on the system for any failed deliveries.

Ensure customers’ orders are deliveries meet the required delivery timings.

Working with the warehouse to coordinate on box/shipping methods where required.

As in most small businesses, there will be a requirement to be trained in and cover other disciplines within the organisation during busy times or to cover periods of holiday.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 2 years working in transport/logistics with roles focused on routing.
- Excellent geographical knowledge of the UK (by postcode)
- Must be fluent in written and spoken English. Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective and accurate administrator, methodical with excellent attention to detail.
- A team player able to work with others to achieve results and exceed customer expectations.
- Strong time management, planning and organisation skills.
- Acceptance of responsibility, self-motivated and goal oriented.
- Professional and confident telephone manner.
- Excellent I.T skills to include Microsoft Office: Excel and Word

**Salary**

£22,000 - £26,000 depending on experience.
