The Band 6 post holder will be responsible for the day to day management of medical staffing rotas across the various departments, including General and Colorectal surgery, Vascular surgery and Orthopaedics; working on their own initiative to identify and taking action to resolve issues as deemed necessary.
- Take responsibility for day to day management, coordination and communication of junior medical staffing throughout the directorate including recording, monitoring of leave and booking of locums, and participate in the development of junior medical staff induction.
- Take day to day responsibility for the management and maintenance of junior doctor rotas
- Support the Service Delivery Manager with recruitment process to ensure prompt turnaround minimising vacancy timelines and gap in service
- Be central point of contact for all junior medical staff through the hub, sourcing of internal and external locums
- Responsible dissemination of all trust information to junior doctors with regards to trust metrics, governance and KPI’s
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure timely delivery on daily, weekly and monthly summaries and reports.
- Awareness with the European Working Times Directive (EWTD) and new deal requirements
