The Marine Management Organisation (MMO) is an executive non-departmental public body of the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs.

We are a team of around 400 people and combine our Newcastle upon Tyne and London operations with a local presence around the English coastline in Brixham, Beverley, Harwich, Hastings, Lowestoft, North Shields, Hayle, Plymouth, Poole, Portsmouth, Preston, Scarborough, Shoreham, Whitehaven.

Job description

This includes accountability for the professional delivery of criminal investigations, the management of risk and intelligence products and the monitoring and development of compliance assurance products and initiatives to ensure increased compliance within the regulatory remit of the Marine Management Organisation.

The role will work as part of the Regulatory Assurance senior leadership team in collaboration with the Head of Coastal Operations and the Head of Offshore Operations and Training to develop accountability and professionalism in our regulatory provision as well as helping to deliver and shape strategic change aimed at improving efficiency and modernising the way in which MMO delivers its assurance services
