**Summary**

A highly successful multi-national manufacturer is seeking a driven, part-qualified accountant to partner with their engineering, IT and HR teams on a full-time permanent basis (hybrid working). This is a great opportunity for a budding finance businesspartner / commercial accountant to provide high-level support, challenging key stakeholders to deliver performance improvements and achieve strategic goals. This role has come about due to an internal promotion and the company will wait for the right personon notice.

Key responsibilities include:

- Providing insight and challenge into the periodic performance of Engineering spend vs budget / forecast,
- Supporting key business partners in the management of their budgets,
- Development of financial tools to aide decision making / provide insight,
- Quarterly forecasting & annual budget preparation,
- Variance analysis,
- Fixed asset / capital ledger posting & reporting,
- Tracking & reporting of improvement plans, cost saving initiatives & capital opportunities,
- Supporting & challenging cross-functional work teams (i.e. tenders, restructures etc).

**The Right Person**
- Part-qualified ACCA / CIMA accountant, degree graduate,
- Experience working within a large manufacturing / FMCG / retail preferred,
- The ability to balance conflicting demands, work to tight deadlines and have the tenacity to get to the root of issues / help provide sustainable solutions,
- Excellent analytical & reporting skills,
- Challenge decision making with effective communication skills, strong relationship building & ability to manage stakeholders at all levels,
- Proactive and able to work on own initiative with mínimal supervision, able to fit into a dynamic and fast-moving accounting team within a larger organisation,
- Excellent planning, organisation & deadline time keeping skills.
- Systems: Strong MS Excel, SAP, AX and/or Navision experience preferred... training will be provided.
