We are a startup pregnancy care centre in the heart of the City of London specialising in Ultrasound Scans. We believe that we have a special proposition to pregnant women in their 40 week pregnancy journey through our experience and technology.
**Job description**
Exciting new project. We are looking for a highly motivated and flexible Medical Administrator for a start-up ultrasound pregnancy scanning clinic in the heart of the City of London to be responsible for administrative duties. You will be working in a team of five, that will responsible for handling patient schedules, taking phone calls, and ensuring that patients receive excellent customer service overall.
You will be required to be present in the clinic for Medical Assistant duties such as picking up the phone, welcoming patients, filling in medical forms **as well as chaperoning** when the scans are performed. Previous experience in specific medical field preferred but not required. Training will be provided in the relevant IT systems and medical terminology essential for the job.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Schedule, reschedule and cancel appointments.
- Take phone calls from patients, labs, and physicians.
- Ensure patients receive excellent customer service.
- Verify patient information by interviewing patient, recording medical history, and confirming purpose of visit.
- Send samples to laboratories.
- Phone patients to inform them about test results.
- Call patients to remind them of upcoming appointments.
- Comply with office policy and procedures.
- Assist in managing medical billing.
- Chaperoning when required.
- Remote working possible outside clinic hours.
**REQUIREMENTS**:
- Having good organisational skills and high attention to details.
- Being able to stay calm under stressful circumstances.
- Having interpersonal abilities.
- Being discreet with confidential information.
- Having good written and spoken communication.
- Having IT skills. Experience with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Knowledge of medical terminology will be advantage.
- Experience with electronic medical records as advantage.
- Preferred: knowledge of CQC policies and procedures.
- Having right to work in the UK
**Job Type**: Part-time
**Salary**: £10.00-£12.00 per hour
