**Admin Assistant/Care Coordinator**
Farnham Dene Medical Practice is a two-site, GMS training practice, located in the beautiful Georgian market town of Farnham, with a patient list of approximately 14,500.
We are looking to recruit an Admin Assistant/Care Coordinator to join our busy, friendly and supportive Practice. This role is based across our two sites - within Farnham Centre for Health and at the Lower Bourne (Please note - there are limited public transport links to the Bourne, so the applicant should ideally be able to drive).
The role involves undertaking a range of administrative duties and the provision of administrative support to the Operations Managers. The successful applicant will need to be articulate and able to communicate well. They will also need to be patient, efficient, flexible and professional with extremely good attention to detail.
**Responsibilities**
- Administration of cancer screening
- Monitoring and maintaining cancer recall systems and processes according to practice protocols
- Support of new cancer diagnosis patients including the management of practice cancer registers
- Administration of screening test results
- Maintaining good knowledge and resources relating to national screening programmes (cervical, breast and bowel)
- Updating any protocols relating to the practice's role in the screening process
- Improving screening update amongst the patient population
- Support practice social media campaigns and ensure waiting room noticeboards/digital screens are current and information is relevant
- Support the practice and Primary Care Network with any general wellbeing or fundraising events to raise awareness of local support and health screening services
- Work closely with other Practice teams, both clinical and administrative
- Any other duties considered appropriate to the role at the discretion of the Operations Managers, Practice Manager or Partners, which could include supporting annual review and recall processes, writing and maintaining practice protocols, ensuring patient records are kept up to date, appointment management, actioning requests for patient tests and support the reception team
- Requirement to cover team members during holiday and sickness absence

**Qualifications**:
Essential - Educated to GCSE level or equivalent, functional Mathematics and English
Desirable - GCSE Mathematics and English (C or above)
**Experience**:
Essential - Experience of administrative duties
Desirable - Experience of working with the general public, experience of working in a healthcare setting
