About the Role:
We are currently recruiting an experienced and compassionate Senior Health Care Assistant to join our dedicated team as a Night Team Leader. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong leadership skills and a passion for high-quality care to take on a more senior, hands-on role.

You will be responsible for leading and supporting a team of night carers, ensuring all residents receive person-centred care and that the highest standards are maintained throughout the night.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead, supervise, and support night care staff during shifts

Oversee the safe and effective delivery of care throughout the night

Carry out and delegate care tasks in accordance with individual care plans

Monitor residents’ health and well-being, reporting changes promptly

Liaise with on-call managers, families, and healthcare professionals as necessary

Complete accurate care records and ensure compliance with all care regulations

Provide guidance, coaching, and on-the-job training to junior staff

**Requirements**:
Previous experience as a Senior Carer or Team Leader in a care home or healthcare setting (minimum 1 year)

NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent)

Strong communication and leadership skills

Ability to remain calm and effective in emergencies

A caring, empathetic nature with a genuine desire to improve the lives of others

Ability to work independently and manage a small team

Good understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality, and CQC standards

Desirable:
Medication administration experience (with appropriate training or certification)

Knowledge of dementia and elderly care best practices

First Aid and Manual Handling certification

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Zero hours contract

Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 33 per week

Additional pay:

- Performance bonus

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 12 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- Weekend availability
