Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting on behalf of a Local Authority in London for a Payroll Team Leader on a temporary basis. The contract is expected to run for an initial 6-12 month period with the possibility of extension after this. The postholder will manage and deliver a quality Payroll Service, manage performance (service, productivity, quality) of a Payroll Team and deliver the day to day relevant transactional services. They will identify and deliver savings through different ways of working e.g. process redesign, maximising the use of I.T, reduce duplication, self-service and will be responsible for providing the lead on complex advice and for complex query and process resolution in accordance with legislation, operational procedures, in relation to Payroll.

The system used will be Oracle Fusion.

Full Job Specification Available
- Experience in leading a payroll team within a Local Authority payroll environment is preferred but other public sector experience considered
- Experience of delivering end to end payroll and providing expert advice on how to improve the service
- Experience of Oracle Fusion is desirable
- Great communication skills and ability to work well on own initiative as well as part of a team
