**The Role**

At Homewise, our people are at the heart of what we do and we’re looking for a People Advisor to join our motivated, enthusiastic, and passionate People department. In this role you’ll work collaboratively with the rest of the team to deliver against the full end-to-end employee lifecycle from recruitment and onboarding activities, to end of employment. This will include supporting line managers with people-relations queries and being a visible, professional, and welcoming representative of the department across the business.

You will be responsible for ensuring line managers and their employees have the knowledge, practical skills and motivation to carry out their work activities effectively in line with legislation and best practice, as well as be the main point of contact for employee welfare and health and safety.

**In this role you will**:

- Be a point of contact for all HR questions and queries, supporting and empowering line managers and resolving where possible or escalating when needed.
- Support the end-to-end recruitment activities to attract top talent which encourages direct methods and ensures the most cost-effective approach.
- Complete all people department related administration for the full employee lifecycle.
- Assist line managers with any changes impacting employees in line with legislation and best practice.
- Be a point of contact for all employee relations issues in line with company policy and best practice.
- Support the delivery of the People department strategy to drive high performance.
- Design, deliver and evaluate learning solutions where required.
- Ensure effective communication across the department working closely and seamlessly with other members.
- Own the updating of all People policies, ensuring sign off from the People Manager.
- Support, coach and guide other members of the People Department to deliver the best outcomes for the department, Homewise and their own personal development as directed by the People Manager.
- Be the main point of contact for employee welfare and health and safety.

**Experience and Qualifications**

**The People Advisor will have**:

- At least 1 year's practical HR experience in a similar role, dealing with low level employee relations issues, recruitment and HR administration.
- Up to date knowledge of employment law and the full employee lifecycle.
- A professional, confident and open-minded approach.

**The People Advisor will ideally have**:

- CIPD Qualification or applicable experience
- Experience in Health and Safety
- Experience delivering training and coaching

- Experience of using MS Office - Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

This role is a full-time permanent role under a hybrid working agreement with a minimum of two days in our Worthing office per week. Salary is £27,000 to £33,000 per annum depending on experience.
