**About the role**
We are looking for a high performing and ambitious internal communications professional to join our Internal Communications and Engagement team as our Directorate Communications Partner.

At Macmillan we have eight directorates (business areas/units) and your role as Directorate Communications Partner will be to provide insight and communications expertise to the leadership teams and key stakeholders across the directorates. You will be providing coaching, advice and support to leaders to help with colleague engagement and ensure organisation-wide initiatives are adapted for our diverse audiences.

As well as managing a team of six, you will be working closely with your peers across the whole Communications division. The Directorate Communications Partner will be responsible for developing an approach for internal storytelling so our colleagues are inspired and engaged about the work Macmillan does for people living with cancer.

**About you**
To do this role successfully you will be:

- Creative and innovative, challenging on how to do things differently so we produce impactful communications.
- Working in a senior role in internal communications role and we’re completely open about the sector you’ll be joining from.
- Passionate about telling Macmillan’s stories (for example, the work we do internally that makes a difference to people living with cancer).
- A trusted advisor to senior stakeholders and confident with building relationships at all levels - from the Chief Executive Officer to colleagues on the frontline.
- Experienced in change communications
- Experienced with managing a team inclusively, both directly and as part of a project or matrix team
- Able to produce clear and accessible communications for a range of audiences, taking into account diverse communication styles and needs.
