The post will have a focus on the delivery of healthcare education with a focus on advanced practice, non-medical prescribing, prehospital care and retrieval to post-registration health care practitioners at postgraduate level. We offer a diverse range of full and part time postgraduate nursing programmes, which includes a number of distance learning programmes.

Purpose of the Job
- To teach with a focus on advanced practice, non-medical prescribing, pre-hospital care and retrieval to post-registration health care practitioners at postgraduate level, including supervision of students as they complete formative and summative assessments.
- To develop ways of teaching to include blended and in person approaches, teaching materials and assessment.
- To lead and further develop modules and to support delivery.
- To teach and supervise on appropriate modules throughout programmes at post graduate levels.
- To provide the highest quality pastoral and academic support to postgraduate students.
- To undertake administrative duties as designated by the Head of School to engage in School citizenship and personal development.

Main

**Responsibilities**:

- Plan, prepare and deliver lectures and tutorials responding effectively to a variety of student backgrounds, learning styles and class sizes.
- Motivate students to proactive engagement in learning and provide meaningful and constructive feedback on the quality of their work.
- Keep abreast of new professional, educational and related social, economic and technological developments appropriate to the role.
- Supervise postgraduate projects.
- Be personal tutor to postgraduate students, providing the highest quality, consistent, advice, guidance and support.
- Maintain and develop scholarly activities in line with University and College strategies. - Publish and share evidence of scholarship related to learning and teaching in books, articles and/or papers in academic journals.
- Ensure adherence to organisational and professional body (i.e. NMC) requirements in all aspects of academic work, and in personal professional development
- Engage in scholarly, professional and improvement-related activities in partnership with students, local stakeholders and service users.
- Actively engage in strategic and project-related activities that maximise student engagement, and that mitigate the risks of attrition.
- Lead the development of new modules, and the re-design and improvement of existing modules.
- Provide course leadership to designated academic programmes, paying particular attention to marketing and recruitment, programming, and quality assurance.
- Lead the development of new academic programmes that address strategic opportunities.
