Your new role:
The Head of Digital Construction will be responsible for the ongoing development and implementation of our Digital Construction Strategy and BIM activities within Robertson Construction Group.
- Provide strategic oversight and direction for Digital Construction in alignment with the wider Robertson Group strategy
- Owner of the ongoing development and implementation of Digital Construction Strategy
- Lead Research & Development (R&D) projects aligned to the Digital Construction Strategy
- Measure and undertake digital maturity assessments for individual construction group business units
- Responsible for the leadership, development and support of the Digital Construction team
- Actively develop skills and capabilities of the group Digital Construction team and ensure deployment is appropriate to project and business needs.
- Develop a Robertson training programme tailored to suit the group Digital Construction strategy to increase adoption and capability within our businesses
- Produce monthly reporting on Digital Construction implementation progress to the Construction Group and Executive board
- Plan for and lead on our IS0 19650 annual audits
- Support bids and live projects with understanding the BIM requirements and setting out a strategy for which best suits the client’s needs and the supply chains capabilities
- Ensure all relevant BIM Level 2 contracts delivered either by RCG Digital Teams, or 3rd parties are delivered to the highest quality of service, on time and within budget
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, supporting Digital Construction Managers in the production of relevant BIM & project protocols and execution plans.
- Assist clients develop strategic BIM documentation such as Employers Information Requirements (EIR) and Asset Information Requirements (AIR)
- Influence policy and best practice through industry forums
- Develop implementation plans to embed industry standards (wider ISO19650 suite)
- Hold regular meetings with the relevant team members to understand contract progress, issues, risks, concerns and areas for improvement

Leading our Digital Construction Team, you will be a key driver in leading, and supporting digital adoption and skills development across our UK wide construction business. In addition, the role will include a focus on continuous improvement and innovation of our digital products and services to support our group strategic objectives. You'll already be a people leader with experience of leading and working with multi-disciplinary teams with a clear understanding and working knowledge of Building Information Modelling (BIM) and its benefits to all project stakeholders including, designers, contractors and customers. You'll have the ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects while maintaining a focus on deadlines with strong interpersonal skills, especially to help people through the information modelling process.
