This role offers a hybrid of office and home working with some travel to operational depots required, as well as the opportunity to get out and about to see what happens in the field.
**What you'll do**:
The role supports two teams that cover the entire Wessex Water region, for both reactive and planned jobs.
You will:
- put together financial reports, prepare and deliver monthly performance reviews and update KPIs
- contribute to the monthly forecasting of works delivered by the Mainlaying and Small Schemes teams
- manage the costing cycle of project works delivered by the Mainlaying and Small Schemes teams for the wider business, from initial estimate to final cost review and comparison
- assist in the procurement process for sub-contract resources and support services as and when the teams/business require them
- administer the payments and cost allocation for our sub-contract resources
- build trusted relationships with colleagues and external contractors
- travel to different sites across the region as required.
**What you'll need**:
We are looking for a proactive, enthusiastic, confident and self-motivated individual who can share the vision, values and work of our business.
Ideally, you will have:
- the ability to manipulate, understand and analyse large volumes of data
- an eye for detail and a high level of accuracy
- strong organisational skills and the ability to work calmly under pressure
- excellent communication skills
- the ability to learn and understand new systems
- excellent Microsoft 365 skills, eg, proficiency in Excel (including pivot tables and formulas) and experience using Teams and Outlook.
