**Job summary**:
The role will be required to provide efficient and effective administrative duties to outpatients of Nutrition & Dietetics.
The team member will also provide flexible administrative support to the outpatient booking office as required and requested by the OSM to support service requirements.
The post requires flexibility and the ability to provide a wide range of administrative duties as the services develop.
**Main duties, tasks & skills required**:
Receive, prioritise and distribute incoming verbal and written communication including patient referrals and general enquiries, initiating appropriate responses to provide patients, staff and other parties with required information in a friendly and professional manner
Receive telephone calls, accepting messages on behalf of members of the specialty team, taking appropriate action where necessary
Provide administrative support to the Dietetics service in Somerset, to include assisting in the organisation of Dietetics teams' workload
Update and maintain databases and booking systems and produce monthly and ad hoc reports
Participate in team and Trust meetings as requested

OCR Word Processing Level 2 or Equivalent
European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) or Equivalent

Knowledge of full range of secretarial procedures and software programmes including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access acquired through NVQ 2/RSA 2 experience and/or relevant practical experience
Ability to work within a team and on own initiative
Ability to prioritise and manage workload independently
