**The Job**
The Events Executive will play a pivotal role in the planning, coordination, and execution of internal and external events for Smartbox UK and Global. This hands-on position requires expertise in overseeing all aspects of event delivery, from concept to completion. You will work across teams, supporting Smartbox's goals through expertly delivered events, including staff away days, social activities, conferences, exhibitions, and partner-led initiatives globally.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of UK and Global events
- Oversee logistics for internal events (e.g., staff away days, social gatherings) and external events (e.g., conferences, exhibitions, sponsorships)
- Work with suppliers and other stakeholders to ensure smooth event execution
- Plan, deliver, and oversee Smartbox’s annual partner conferences, ensuring alignment with strategic goals
- Plan event hospitality catering and entertainment creating a memorable and professional experience for attendees
- Collaborate with the Board and other teams within Smartbox to design engaging agendas, including keynote sessions and workshops
- Support global partners at international AAC conferences, ensuring consistency with Smartbox brand standards
- Collaborate with teams to set clear goals for each event, such as lead generation, data capture, training, and partner opportunities
- Collaborate on lead nurturing strategies and use tools like MS Dynamics CRM to manage attendee data and track event KPIs
- Maintain high standards for all events by implementing external and internal feedback mechanisms
- Monitor event performance and prepare detailed post-event reports
- Ensure alignment between event goals and ongoing marketing campaigns
- Develop event budget proposals, ensuring cost efficiency while maintaining quality, track expenditure and provide post-event financial reporting
- Coordinate with operations teams for the production and distribution of marketing materials and on-site logistics
- Design engaging presentations and workshop materials
- Facilitate knowledge sharing across the Smartbox Group to share best practice and improving event management across the group
- The successful applicant will also be asked to perform other duties on an ad-hoc basis and will need a proactive attitude to this._
**Essential skills/attributes**
- Degree or equivalent experience in Events, Marketing, or Communications
- 3+ years’ experience in Events, Conferences, or Functions
- Flexibility to travel and adapt to dynamic event requirements
- Understanding of marketing communications, lead nurturing, and event promotion strategies
- Proven experience in event management, including planning and execution of corporate events
- Exceptional organisational and multitasking skills
- Strong stakeholder communication and relationship-building abilities
- Experience in workshop planning and delivery
- Skilled in presentation design and working with design tools
- Valid driving licence
**Useful skills/attributes**
- Experience with CRM tools like MS Dynamics for data capture and lead tracking
- Experience searching for/assessing event venues, creating a brief for vendors
- Familiarity with operational processes such as shipping and risk assessments
- Negotiation skills are desirable
**Additional Information**
- You will need to maintain a deep understanding and knowledge of all our products and their uses
- Travel: UK-wide and occasional international travel required
- You will meet and keep in regular contact with other teams in the business.
